Centre for Entrepreneurship ready to welcome next intake

Call for applications: Entrepreneurial Capability Development Programme 2026

Wits Business School is excited to announce that applications are open for the Centre for Entrepreneurship's Entrepreneurial Capability Development Programme, an intensive 16-week programme to fast-track your entrepreneurial journey.

If you are a young, currently unemployed graduate with a technology-driven business idea, then the Wits Crucible Centre for Entrepreneurship, in partnership with WBS Executive Education, invites you apply as soon as possible for your place on the programme.

What is the Crucible Centre for Entrepreneurship?

The Wits Crucible Centre for Entrepreneurship works with other training entities within the Wits entrepreneurship ecosystem to support, mentor, and train emerging entrepreneurs, and by so doing, address youth unemployment and help transform the Johannesburg inner city into a vibrant economic hub. The Centre for Entrepreneurship is situated at 47 Main Street Johannesburg, in the lively former Anglo American campus.

What’s in it for you?

  • A fully funded, intensive training programme with hands-on workshops and real-world entrepreneurial simulations.  Successful completion of the ECDP may lead to:
    • Entry into the Wits Crucible Centre for Entrepreneurship incubation programme where you will receive further training, mentorship, and coaching. 
    • Elevation into the Wits Crucible Centre for Entrepreneurship accelerator programme which will consist of funding and investor-readiness support.

  • Your CV
  • A short motivation statement (maximum 500 words) describing:
    • Your business idea
    • The problem it addresses 
    • Why you are passionate about it
    • Your vision for growing the idea 
  • Certified tertiary level qualifications
  • Certified copy of ID or passport 
  • If you already have a registered company, you may include: 
    • A brief company profile
    • CIPC registration documents
