We are pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Logan Rangasamy as interim Head and Director of Wits Business School, effective 1 January 2026.

Professor Rangasamy has served as Academic Director of Wits Business School for the past five years, with oversight of the School’s academic project. He brings over three decades of professional experience in economic policy and related fields, having served as an Economic Advisor at the European Union and in senior roles at the South African Reserve Bank. He has also held research fellowships at the Universities of Cambridge and Nottingham, UNU-WIDER, and the Bank for International Settlements.

Wits Business School welcomes Professor Rangasamy’s appointment and looks forward to the next phase of the School’s development under his leadership.
