Biography

Dennis Boahene Osei is an applied economist and researcher whose work spans development economics and finance, innovation economics, philanthropy, and impact investment. He currently serves as the Research Lead for the Youth Project at the Centre on African Philanthropy and Social Investment (CAPSI), Wits Business School, University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.

Dennis holds a PhD in Economics, specialising in African philanthropy and impact investment, from CAPSI, Wits Business School. He also holds an MPhil and a BA in Economics from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, and is a Chartered Financial Economist (Ch. Fe) accredited by the Association of Certified Chartered Economists (ACCE), Global Academy of Finance and Management, USA.

Dennis has exceptional knowledge of economics, applied econometrics and evidence-based research. He has skills in using both quantitative and qualitative tools for research. His writing skills are equally excellent, and he works well in a team. He has authored a number of peer-reviewed articles in leading scholarly journals and chapters in books. He also serves as an Associate Editor of the Ghanaian Journal of Economics.
