Panel Discussion: Unpacking SONA

It’s almost ‘State of the Nation Address’ (SONA) time again and we can expect all the usual trappings, such as the red carpet, the military parade and the 21-gun salute.

But what about the address itself? What can we expect from President Ramaphosa next Thursday as he sets out his plan for 2020, with mounting economic challenges and growing public scepticism?

Wits Business School is pleased to invite you to a post-SONA discussion where our panellists will dissect SONA 2020 – and what it means for South Africans and South African business.

Our panellists are:

  • Professor Mcebisi Ndletyana: Pan-African Institute, University of Johannesburg
  • Professor Susan Booysen: Director of Research, Mapungubwe Institute for Strategic Reflection (Mistra)
  • Dr Ralph Mathekga: Political Analyst
  • Ms Catherine Grant-Makokera: Director, Tutwa Consulting Group

Prof Mills Soko will moderate. Click here for speaker bios

We hope you will join us next Friday morning for a lively discussion!

Booking is essential.
