As South Africa navigates the current energy crisis and the requirement and ambition for a just energy transition - which touches all facets of the sector, electricity, and oil & gas alike - there remains a skills gap in the sector to meet the changing needs of the landscape, with a backdrop of high youth unemployment in SA. SANEA will be hosting a critical conversation on Youth in Energy Career Pathways and Skills.

MEET YOUR SPEAKERS:

Keynote Address - Leading Self - Marista Fey

Marista Fey has extensive experience driving performance improvements and business transformations in the energy and chemicals sectors globally. She has held key leadership roles, orchestrating strategic, operational, and cultural shifts to enhance business performance and to transition to a lower carbon economy. Within the Africa Energy Leadership Centre, she will contribute and support work on delivering a just energy transition, equip leaders to drive sustainability, and promote low carbon energy. 

Marista collaborates with senior leadership teams to transition their businesses towards greater sustainability and operational excellence. She builds the necessary understanding, capabilities, and mindsets for successful and sustainable change. Her career spans multiple international assignments, reflecting a broad business perspective and cultural adaptability.
