Global Entrepreneurship Week Conversations

Wits Business School’s Centre for Entrepreneurship (CfE) is celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), the world’s largest celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare.

Contributing to the spirit of GEW, which runs from 13 to 17 November around the world, the Centre for Entrepreneurship is hosting two important discussions:

Tuesday 14 November: The Rise of the Entrepreneur

The Rise of the Entrepreneur is a documentary produced by Eric Worre which gathers today’s most respected experts and thought leaders to inspire entrepreneurs to change the way they view work and wealth and use technology to create exponential growth for their businesses. There will be a post-documentary discussion hosted by ‘serial entrepreneur’ Jerome Keshwar.

Wednesday 15 November:The COJ Entrepreneurial Ecosystem

Are entrepreneurial programmes really creating the desired growth or having the intended impact?

Z.A. ZEN Consulting conducted a research study entitled 2016 Entrepreneurship Research Study: Voices of Entrepreneurs in Johannesburg – the first of its kind. Using the findings as a basis for engagement, the City of Johannesburg held seven regional summits and the first-ever 2017 City of Johannesburg Entrepreneur Ecosystems Symposium during September/October.

We invite you to join us for a panel discussion on the findings and recommendations of the study, as well as on the challenges facing entrepreneurs in Johannesburg, and more importantly, the opportunities and solutions. Our keynote speaker is Tamiko Sher, founder and CEO of Z.A.ZEN Consulting, a strategic virtual consulting company which specialises in entrepreneurship, innovation, knowledge management and strategy.

Come and learn, share and add your voice to both these discussions.

We look forward to welcoming you!

Booking is essential.
