Following on from our last successful ‘In Conversation’ evening with Professor Imraan Valodia, Wits Business School invites you to another informal evening of discussion, this time with Tembinkosi Bonakele, Commissioner of the South African Competition Commission. Professor Valodia, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Law and Management (CLM) at Wits University, will facilitate the evening.

Tembinkosi Bonakele has been with the South African Competition Commission for the past 12 years, working as head of mergers, head of compliance and legal senior counsel. He was appointed Commissioner in April 2014. He was also instrumental in setting up the Commission’s cartel division, and has been personally involved in all the major cartel investigations in South Africa in the last ten years, including high profile cases involving price fixing in the bread and flour, construction and steel industries.
