The composition of the board will seek to create strong links with other faculties within the university by including academic representatives from as many faculties as possible. This will also facilitate multi-disciplinary research and promote inter-faculty and inter-school research and teaching activities in entrepreneurship studies. “Representation from the dti will also be sought, including representation in an Executive Committee,” said WBS Director Professor Mthuli Ncube. It has been envisaged that the CfE will be headed by a Director. There will also be a professorial Chair in Entrepreneurship. The Chair has already received funding of R3 million for a five-year period from Mark Lamberti. Additional funding of R3 million has been extended by the Department of Trade and Industry (dti), bringing the total raised so far to R6 million.
