Sean is a lecturer in marketing and entrepreneurship at the Wits Business School. He holds a MBA from WBS and achieved distinction in his research thesis titled 'Service Marketing and Customer Profitability'. He sold his first business before embarking on his undergraduate studies at Wits. Throughout his working career he has been passionate about new ideas, innovative thinking and doing things differently. Sean is the architect of numerous innovative business models. These span the construction industry, pharmaceuticals and financial services. Sean will use his practical experience to highlight what can go right and more importantly what can go wrong when creating a new venture. In addition Sean has 14 years experience in retail banking culminating in the development of a full transactional banking capability for Investec Bank. Prior to that Sean spent 10 years in the Nedcor group where he attracted a number of blue chip clients to Finansbank, including BP (UK), ICL (UK), Compaq (Germany), Caltex and Anglo American. He is the youngest ever recipient of the Nedcor chairman's award for the most outstanding employee in the group and recipient of the Old Mutual Business Builder of the year award. He negotiated and implemented South Africa's first co-branded Visa Card; the Nedbank Voyager Visa product suite in 90 days.
