


I was born in the province of Kwa-Zulu Natal in a town called Empangeni where I matriculated at Tisand Technical High School where I completed a Diploma in Maritime Studies (Shore-based and Sea-going studies).
Terence started his working life as a mining researcher at Mintek. He lectured for a couple of years at UKZN Chemistry Department and, thereafter, did a stint as a technical manager at an FMCG company, Reckitt and Colman (now Reckitt Benckiser). A change in a 10 year scientific career began with a move to Monitor, a strategy consulting company, providing consulting services to clients in several industries.
The past 9 years were spent at Nedbank in various roles starting as the head of research in Corporate Finance and variously as Head of HR, Transformation as a member of the executive committee of Nedbank Capital, the investment banking arm of Nedbank. His current role is that of Head of Strategy and Marketing at Nedbank Capital.
He has been involved in various other charitable organisations as a trustee of the Nedbank Foundation, chairing a Child Welfare branch in Durban and teaching at Sunday School at an ashram.
Terence has an MSc in Chemistry from UKZN, a MAP and MBA from WBS and is presently attempting a PhD at WBS.
